Scent-er Stage
Discussing the possible reasons behind the prevalent lack of the use of scent, as a design tool, in contemporary theatre.
For my Dissertation I continued my research into the use of scent in performance design - focussing particularly on the lack thereof. the senses are played with, manipulated even, through light, sound, multimedia, even texture. Scent however is hardly used, yet it has the power to transport us into our own past. it is the closest thing to time travel we have. so why not use it?
